It was a sunny, partly cloudy, and windy Sunday afternoon when we were amiably welcomed by our second home in Baguio—the Paladin Hotel.
Ms. Shirley Valencia, Operations Manager of the Hotel, graced us with an interview in spite of her fully loaded schedule. According to her, the Paladin Hotel is a family business headed by Mr. Jackson T. So, General Manager, and wife Mrs. Cristina So as the Finance Manager.
Started as a bar, the family decided to turn it as a hotel and became operational on December 22, 2002. From the word “Aladdin” and adding some Filipino touch “Philippines” gave birth to its name Paladin Hotel.
Following are the 7 reasons why it is the best to stay at the Paladin Hotel the next time you visit Baguio City:
EVERYBODY IS WELCOME
The Paladin Hotel is a refuge for everybody regardless of age and type of guest, from millennials, couples, families, and groups, students, tourists and local and foreign visitors. Their most sacred value is their flexibility to cater to all demographics. The relaxing and peaceful hotel shelters volume of guests during their peak season from October to May and all throughout the year.
Moreover, the Paladin Hotel Function Room hosts small events, seminars, and small parties like birthdays, baptismal, and debuts that can accommodate 50-60 persons.
“Very important to us is not to assess the guest base on their appearance.”
The Paladin Hotel is located in the prime area of Baguio City, just a 5-minute walk to tourist spots such as Burnham Park, Session Road, the Harrison Road’s Night Market and a short distance to the city market where you can take home 3 Strawberry Jams for only P100 , business areas, City Hall, malls, and bus stations.
INN WITH A HOTEL-LIKE EXPERIENCE
When I was young, I usually looked for a hotel with swimming pool, but now the first thing I ask if they have Wi-Fi which the hotel has.
Albeit categorized as a Tourist Inn by the Department of Tourism, the Paladin Hotel always delivers more than what is expected, a 5-star customer service! With its 46 rooms, Cable TV, 24-hour hot and cold shower, and FREE Wi-Fi access, the Paladin competes at par with hotels on their same category.
All rooms come with a choice of free breakfast sets while Deluxe, Premier Deluxe and Family rooms entitle you to a free massage to loosen your body’s tension.
“Marami na ang mas magagandang Hotel. Ang belief namin is we can only compete sa cleanliness at service.”
Providing a good service is good business. The Paladin Hotel doesn’t need to expend much on promotions since their guests’ reviews speak loud and clear: the Paladin Hotel is applauded for its exceptional customer service and room cleanliness.
When the Paladin Hotel hears customers complain about other hotels and would transfer to Paladin Hotel, they strive to take the opportunity to keep the guests as repeat guests by delighting and giving the worth of their money.

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. That is what makes the Paladin Hotel— where love for its guests is shown through heart-warming hospitality. The Paladin Hotel assures its guests will feel just like as comfortable as home, and when concerns arise, rest assured management will address it properly and immediately.
Consider Paladin your second home in Baguio, offering only the best, excellent customer service, and friendly interaction with their guests. You will feel less like a visitor, and more like family.
HOME OF YOUR FAVORITE TELESERYE’S AND TV SHOW’S CREW
Yes, you read it right. The Paladin Hotel always maintained a great partnership with media giants ABS-CBN, GMA, and TV5, evidenced by the reality game show Pinoy Big Brother, TV drama Forevermore and the latest Pinoy BoyBand Superstar.
BEEN THROUGH THE WORST AND BEST
Way back in 2010, the Management and staff recalled when they accepted a challenging booking from a big group that included catering to more than 1,000 guests of different batches. Since the hotel could not accommodate them all, the Management has to designate them to different hotels and attend to their needs. They sighed in relief after the event successfully ended.
Positive reviews continue to roll in, and the Hotel’s Management thinks it’s the best achievement of their Hotel and directly leads to more bookings and sales.
As of today, the Paladin Hotel remains unique and one of a kind; plans to branch out or franchise is not their priority. However, Paladin Hotel is readying to impress and be more competitive through an expansion in the near future to serve their growing number of guests, also known as family.
